After obtaining your criminal justice administration degree, you can become responsible for a team of workers. You will be supervising police officers, detectives, and other law enforcement workers. You would also be able to apply for a sheriff's position. Sheriffs are usually elected to their position. Another possible job for you would be to become a police chief. If you receive your criminal justice administration degree, you may also be eligible to become a U.S. marshal or deputy marshal. These professional help protect the Federal courts and ensure that the judicial system is being effectively operated. Marshals also perform other duties such as transporting Federal prisoners, protect Federal witnesses, provide protection for the Federal judiciary, and help manage possessions that have been seized from criminal enterprises. They also pursue and arrest Federal fugitives.
Degrees Available
You may receive an online criminal justice administration degree from a local university, college, or technical school. They will have course work related to all aspects of law enforcement and criminal justice. Many agencies require bachelor's degree or many years of related work experience. This industry of employment can be very rewarding and personally satisfying.
